  • I was at a birthday dinner and asked a girl how she met my friend. She said at a Timeleft dinner! I had never heard of the app, but I decided to give it a go. I have been to two dinners so far and plan to go to more…

Questions about making friends in Paris

How can I make friends in Paris?
Timeleft matches you with a small group of people for dinner, drinks, coffee, or a walk in Paris, based on a short personality test. You sign up on your own, we choose the venue and the group, and before the event, the app tells you where to go. Read our guide to things to do alone in Paris.
When are Timeleft events in Paris?
Timeleft runs dinners on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:00 pm, drinks on Thursdays at 7:00 pm, coffee on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 3:00 pm, and walks on Sundays at 10:00 am. There are also women-only and LGBTQ+ friendly dinners on Mondays at 8:00 pm and singles dinners on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm. Halloween Drinks is on Thursday 29 October at 7:00 pm. Bookings close 13 hours before each event starts, or at midnight the night before if that would fall between midnight and 8:00 am.
Where in Paris do they happen?
At restaurants, bars, cafés, and meeting points, mostly in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 11th, and 17th arrondissements. The app shows the exact venue before the event.
How much does a Timeleft dinner cost in Paris?
Booking takes a Timeleft membership, and you pay for your own food and drinks at the venue. Membership prices depend on the plan you pick, and the app shows them before you pay. There’s no fee for missing an event, but please cancel if you can’t make it so someone else can take your seat.
Can I go on my own?
Yes. You book on your own and we put the group together, so you don't need to bring anyone. Every event is at a public venue we've vetted, and our safety guidelines cover the rest. The guide to your first dinner walks through it step by step.
Is Timeleft in Paris for people in their 20s, 30s, or 40s?
Yes. Timeleft is for adults of every age. When we put a group together, we look at age along with your personality quiz and booking preferences. Who you meet still depends on who books the same event.
Is Timeleft a dating app?
No. There are no profiles to swipe through, and nobody gets paired off. You meet a small group of people at once, in person.
Are there singles events in Paris?
Yes. Timeleft runs singles dinners on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm in Paris, with a small group matched to you at a venue we pick. More about singles events.
How is Timeleft different from Meetup?
Meetup lists groups and events run by their own organizers, and you choose which to join. With Timeleft, you pick a format and a day, and we match you with a small group and choose the venue. Our Timeleft vs Meetup comparison goes into more detail.
Are Timeleft events in Paris in English?
Yes, if you want them to be. You choose French or English when you book, and we aim to seat you with people who picked the same language.
What if I'm vegetarian or vegan, or have an allergy?
Pick a dietary preference in the app when you book, and we'll do our best to seat you at a venue that caters to it. Nearly every restaurant we use in Paris has vegetarian dishes, and plenty have vegan ones too. For allergies, check with the venue on the day.
Is Timeleft in other cities in France?
Yes. You'll also find Timeleft in Lyon, Nice, Marseille, Bordeaux, Lille, and Toulouse. See every location.
