Timeleft is a simplified joint-stock company with a share capital of €824.60, registered in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 889 565 206. Timeleft is represented by SPYRIDON, a single-member simplified joint-stock company (SIRET: 88000286000018) (“Timeleft,” “we,” or “us”).

We offer services that connect individuals for dinners or events based on their preferences and interests (the “Services”) through our website https://timeleft.com/fr/ (the “Site”) and mobile application “Timeleft” (the “Mobile App”), collectively referred to as the “Platform.”

The Platform is owned and published by Timeleft.

The publication director is Maxime Barbier, CEO of Timeleft.

General Principles

These terms and conditions (the “General Terms”) form the sole agreement governing our contractual relationship. They define the terms of use and access to the Services provided to any user (“Client,” “you,” or “your”). The original version is written in French, which prevails over any other version, including an English version if available.

You can find these terms via a direct link at the bottom of the Platform’s pages.

By ticking the acceptance box during the registration process, you agree to the General Terms. If you do not agree with all the General Terms, you cannot access the Services.

Additional conditions may supplement these General Terms. In case of conflict, the additional conditions prevail.

These General Terms apply exclusively, overriding any other terms. Failure to exercise a right under these General Terms at any time will not constitute a waiver of such a right for the future nor imply modification of these terms.

 

Alignment of These Terms with Third-Party Terms

These provisions apply if you download the Mobile App via a third-party store (“Third Party”).

In the event of a conflict between the Third Party’s terms and these General Terms, the Third Party’s terms will take precedence. Timeleft is not liable for goods or services provided by any Third Party.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Third Party is not a party to these General Terms.
  • The Third Party has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the Mobile App.
  • We are solely responsible for warranties related to the Mobile App, as outlined in these General Terms.
  • We are solely responsible for addressing claims concerning the Mobile App, whether from you or a third party.

 

Access to Services

Before creating an account on Timeleft, ensure you are eligible to use our Services.

We are committed to maintaining a respectful community. By using our Services, you warrant that:

  • You are an individual (not a legal entity or corporation) at least 18 years old or of legal age to enter into a contract under the laws of your country of residence.
  • You are a consumer, acting outside your professional activities.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract with Timeleft.
  • The law does not prohibit you from using our Services.
  • You have not committed or been convicted of a serious offense, sexual crime, or violent crime, unless pardoned for a non-violent crime, and you do not pose a threat to other users.
  • You have not been previously banned from our Services unless authorized in writing by us to create a new account.

If you no longer meet these requirements, your access to our Services will be automatically revoked, and we may delete your access without notice.

 

Description of Services

The Services allow users to connect for dinners or events based on preferences and interests.

While we strive to provide meaningful connections, we cannot guarantee:

  • A specific gender ratio or age range at events.
  • Compatibility with other participants.
  • Unique participants at each dinner. You may meet individuals you’ve previously interacted with, especially if no feedback was provided or positive feedback was given about them.

 

Dinner Reservations

The Platform’s Services are limited to restaurant reservations for dinners.

We make no explicit or implied guarantees regarding restaurants and dinners, specifically:

  • If you select a preference, such as meat or fish, we cannot guarantee the availability of these options at the chosen restaurant (“Restaurant”). These preferences are treated as guidelines, not restrictions.
  • We do not guarantee the absence of allergen cross-contamination or adherence to dietary restrictions in Restaurants.
  • If you have dietary restrictions, review the menu directly. If unsuitable, contact us, and we will attempt to adjust the Restaurant or reschedule your reservation, though changes are not guaranteed.
  • Reservations open and close as indicated on the Platform. Last-minute reservations may be offered if availability permits.

If a Restaurant does not suit you, you may contact us to explore alternatives; however, changes are not guaranteed. Cancellations made after the specified cancellation period (outlined in the “Cancellation Policy” section) are subject to the respective terms.

Only reservations made through the Platform are accepted or refundable. We are not responsible for bookings made outside the Platform.

 

Dinners and Events

The duration of dinners is determined by the participants.

The Restaurant address will be communicated via the Platform on the day of or the day before your reservation. We reserve the right to modify the Restaurant or its location due to unforeseen circumstances.

You agree to attend the dinner alone. Guests, even if they are Timeleft users, are not permitted to accompany you.

We make no guarantees regarding the number of attendees at the dinner. The cost of meals, including food and beverages, is not included in the Service fee and is entirely at your expense.

We strive to align your meal cost with your selected budget preference (€ for low, €€ for medium, and €€€ for high). These price ranges are approximate and evolve over time to reflect local dining costs. While subjective, general price expectations are:

  • €: under €20
  • €€: €20–€40
  • €€€: above €40

Price estimates are based on the average cost of a main dish with a non-alcoholic beverage and exclude appetizers, desserts, sides, alcoholic beverages, taxes, and tips. Users are encouraged to review restaurant prices directly to ensure they match their budget preferences.

 

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

You may cancel a reservation during the standard cancellation period, as indicated on the Platform (“Cancellation Period”).

  • If you cancel a single ticket during the Cancellation Period, you will receive an automatic refund via your original payment method. Refunds may take 5–10 business days to process.
  • No refunds are granted for cancellations made after the Cancellation Period.

Accruing three or more late cancellations within two months may result in suspension or banning from the Platform.

Absences (no-shows) are reported by other guests.

 

Timeleft Connect Messaging Service

Timeleft provides access to a private messaging feature (“Messaging”) for communication with participants from your past dinners. You agree to adhere to these General Terms during such exchanges.

 

Additional Services

Maintenance

During the Service period, we provide corrective and adaptive maintenance:

  • Corrective Maintenance: Addressing bugs or malfunctions reported on the Platform.
  • Adaptive Maintenance: Implementing improvements and adding new features or technical installations.

Scheduled maintenance may temporarily restrict or suspend access to the Platform. You must accept necessary updates to ensure optimal Service use. Failure to install updates may slow or degrade your access.

 

Hosting

We host the Platform and data on servers within the European Union, operated by a professional hosting provider under an obligation of means.

For any technical difficulties, contact us using the details in the “Legal Notices” section.

Technical support is available Monday–Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Response times will vary based on the issue.

 

Subscription Duration and Renewal

You can subscribe to Services in two forms:

  1. Ticket: Grants access for a specified duration, as indicated on the Platform.

  2. Subscription: Begins on the subscription date for an initial period indicated on the Platform and renews automatically for successive periods of the same length unless canceled per the “Termination of Services” section.

According to Article L215-1 of the French Consumer Code:

“For service contracts with an automatic renewal clause, the service provider must inform the consumer in writing, by nominative letter or email, no earlier than three months and no later than one month before the end of the period authorizing rejection of the renewal, about the possibility of not renewing the contract. This notification must clearly mention the non-renewal deadline in a prominent box.”

If this notification is not provided, you may terminate the contract free of charge at any time after renewal.

After subscription expiration, you may continue using the Platform for free solely for Messaging. In this case, Timeleft’s obligations and guarantees no longer apply.

 

Financial Terms

Service Pricing

Service prices are listed on the Platform in the indicated currency.

Promotions or discounts may be offered but are limited to the validity period of the offer.

Payment Methods and Invoicing

  • On the Mobile App: Payments are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. Timeleft has no control over payment processing, currency changes, or transfer fees. Refund requests must be addressed to the respective store. Timeleft does not store or process bank details.
  • On the Website: Payment options depend on your location, device type, and other factors. Subscriptions are renewed automatically unless canceled, and payment is charged accordingly.

Failure to pay on time may result in immediate suspension of Services until full payment is received.

 

Your Obligations

By using our Services, you:

  • Provide Accurate Information: Guarantee the accuracy of the information submitted in the registration form and commit to keeping it updated.
  • Maintain Account Security: Ensure the confidentiality and security of your login credentials. Any access to the Platform using your credentials will be considered as performed by you. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
  • Respect Laws and Guidelines: Comply with applicable laws, including local laws at the dinner location, and adhere to safety guidelines available at Timeleft Safety Tips.

 

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliations.
  • Solicit personal or financial information from other users.
  • Use another user’s account.
  • Conduct political campaign activities or seek to influence elections using the Platform, except to express personal opinions.
  • Share private or proprietary information without proper authorization.
  • Use meta tags, codes, or other references to Timeleft to redirect users to unrelated websites.
  • Develop or use third-party applications interacting with our Services without written consent.
  • Create a new account after being suspended or terminated, unless explicitly authorized.

You must also refrain from:

  • Exploiting the Services for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
  • Violating any laws, regulations, or contractual obligations.
  • Promoting third-party services or engaging in unauthorized commercial activity.
  • Sharing content that is offensive, misleading, or violates third-party rights (including intellectual property or privacy rights).
  • Posting malicious software or harmful materials (e.g., viruses, spyware, or worms).
  • Using the Platform in ways that could harm Timeleft’s reputation or the integrity of its systems.

 

Content Restrictions

You are prohibited from sharing content that:

  • Is offensive, abusive, or causes psychological harm.
  • Violates public decency or is deemed inappropriate (e.g., pornographic, racist, or defamatory).
  • Contains false, fraudulent, or misleading information.
  • Includes unauthorized depictions of individuals (e.g., minors without parental consent).

If you fail to meet these obligations, we may immediately revoke access to our Services or events and take further measures as outlined under “Sanctions.”

 

Our Obligations

We are committed to delivering Services diligently and in compliance with applicable regulations.

 

Service Quality

We make every effort to ensure our Services are of high quality. Regular checks are conducted to verify functionality and accessibility. However, we are not liable for:

  • External network issues or server failures.
  • Equipment, service, or network interruptions outside our control.
  • User-induced configuration errors.

 

Data Protection and Security

We implement measures to safeguard Platform data, including:

  1. Detection and Containment: Immediately isolating affected systems in the event of a data breach.

  2. Incident Investigation: Conducting in-depth inquiries and documenting all findings.

  3. Regulatory Notifications: Reporting breaches to relevant authorities (e.g., CNIL) or notifying affected individuals when required.

 

Content Responsibility

As a hosting provider, we are not responsible for user-generated content but will promptly act to remove illegal content upon notification.

 

Intellectual Property

The Platform, including software, databases, and content (texts, images, logos, etc.), is owned by Timeleft and protected under intellectual property laws.

  • Limited License: You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use the Platform for private purposes during the subscription period.
  • Prohibited Actions: Any reproduction, representation, or use of the Platform’s content for commercial purposes without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

 

Use of Personal Attributes

By attending Timeleft events, you consent to being photographed or filmed. You grant us the right to use your image, name, and voice, captured during events or testimonials, to promote our Services worldwide for the duration of your subscription and up to 10 years thereafter.

 

Confidentiality

Each party agrees to keep the other party’s confidential information private for the duration of the agreement and three years beyond. This obligation does not apply to information:

  • Already known to the recipient.
  • Publicly available without breach of this clause.
  • Legally obtained from a third party.
  • Disclosed by judicial or regulatory requirement.

Confidential information may be shared with employees or subcontractors bound by equivalent confidentiality obligations.

 

Data Protection

Timeleft complies with the GDPR and applicable French data protection laws. Details on how personal data is processed and your related rights are available at Timeleft Privacy Policy.

 

Termination of Services

Subscription Termination

  • By You: You may cancel your subscription via the Platform at least seven days before the current period ends.
  • By Us: We may terminate the subscription by sending you an email notification.

Ongoing periods are non-refundable. After termination, access to the Messaging feature is still available but without the guarantees or obligations outlined in these terms.

Ticket Termination

You may cancel at any time using the Platform. Termination takes effect immediately, and no refunds are issued.

Modifications to Terms

  • Subscription Services: We may amend these terms with at least 30 days’ notice before their effective date. If you disagree with the changes, you must cancel your subscription before renewal.
  • Ticket Services: Amended terms apply immediately upon their effective date. If you disagree, you must terminate your Services.

By continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect, you accept the modified terms.

 

Liability

Limitation of Responsibility

Timeleft cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or precision of information provided on the Platform. Consequently, we disclaim all liability for errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the information available.

  • Non-contractual Information: Texts and images related to Services are non-binding. Timeleft cannot be held responsible for errors in descriptions or visuals.
  • Restaurant-Related Liabilities: Timeleft is not responsible for meals, food, or beverages provided by Restaurants. Our liability is strictly limited to the scope of the Services.

 

Scope of Liability

In all cases, Timeleft’s liability is limited to direct damages and shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client in the 12 months preceding the event that caused the liability.

 

Withdrawal Rights

Payments Made on the Website

You have the right to withdraw within 14 calendar days from the date of accepting the General Terms.

To exercise your withdrawal right, send either:

  1. A completed withdrawal form (Annex 1); or

  2. A clear statement expressing your intent to withdraw.

Once we receive your withdrawal notice:

  • Refunds will be processed using the original payment method unless you explicitly agree otherwise.
  • Refunds will be issued without undue delay, no later than 14 calendar days after receiving your withdrawal request.

If you request Services to begin before the withdrawal period ends, you will only be charged for the proportional use of Services during that time.

Payments Made on the Mobile App

As indicated in the “Financial Terms” section, payments are managed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store. Any applicable withdrawal rights must be exercised directly with the respective store:

  • Google Play: Follow instructions on Google Play’s website. For further assistance, contact their support team here.
  • Apple App Store: Notify Apple Distribution International via iTunes Store Customer Support, Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland. Details on withdrawal rights are available here.

 

Force Majeure

Timeleft is not liable for delays or failures in fulfilling contractual obligations due to force majeure events as defined under Article 1218 of the French Civil Code.

In the event of force majeure:

  • The affected party must notify the other in writing (e.g., registered letter).
  • Obligations are suspended upon receipt of the notice and resume within a reasonable timeframe after the force majeure event ceases.

Both parties remain responsible for obligations not affected by the force majeure and any outstanding payment obligations.

If a dispute arises, you can seek free mediation through the following entity for an amicable resolution:

If mediation fails or you opt not to use it, you remain free to take the matter to the competent courts.

 

Governing Law

These General Terms are governed by French law unless otherwise stipulated by mandatory provisions.
