The “I’ll Go If You Go” Feature Is Finally Here

“These Timeleft dinners sound interesting, but I’m not going by myself.”

It’s probably the #1 reason people don’t try Timeleft. Maybe you’ve said it yourself, hovering over our website, curious but hesitant. Maybe you’ve been following our stories for months, waiting for the right moment (or right person) to join you.

Well, today the stars align.

Introducing: Bring a +1

You can now attend your first Timeleft dinner with someone you already know. Same table. Same conversation. Same potential for unexpected connections – but with the comfort of a familiar face by your side.

We built this because we understand that the first step is often the hardest. Walking into a room of people you’ve never met takes courage. And sometimes, having someone alongside you makes the difference between “maybe someday” and “let’s do this.”

How It Actually Works

No complicated group bookings. Just straightforward steps:

  1. Log in to your Timeleft account
  2. Book any upcoming dinner
  3. On the homepage, in “Your Group,” tap Bring a +1
  4. Share your invite link

Your friend books their seat. (If you share it with multiple people, the first to accept joins your table.)

Picture this: walking in with your friend, sharing that initial “what did we get ourselves into?” glance, and then watching as you both relax into effortless conversation. By dessert, you’re making connections with different people at the table, doubling your social experience.

Who This Is Perfect For

For the curious but cautious: You’ve been eyeing Timeleft for a while. The concept intrigues you, but solo dining with strangers feels like a big leap. This is your runway – a gentler entry into expanding your social circle.

For long-time followers ready to take action: You’ve read our emails, liked our posts, maybe even reached the booking page multiple times – but always clicked away. No more excuses. Bring that friend who’s also been curious and finally experience what you’ve only read about.

For relationships stuck in routine: That friendship that keeps revisiting the same conversations. That partnership that’s fallen into Netflix habits. Shared novel experiences create the strongest bonds – and watching each other connect with new people adds an unexpected dimension to how you see each other.

For loyal Timelefters with hesitant friends: You’ve been trying to explain the magic to your skeptical friend who “doesn’t get why you’d have dinner with strangers.” Now you can stop explaining and start showing.

The Magic Remains Intact

For those who’ve already experienced and loved our dinners solo, rest assured:

The careful curation of tables continues. The thoughtful conversation prompts remain. The possibility of meeting someone surprisingly compatible is unchanged.

What’s different is who gets to experience it now: The nervous. The skeptical. The ones who need that hand to hold while stepping into something new.

And something fascinating happens when two people join together: they often become braver, more open, less concerned about how they’re perceived. As Jamie (a recent first-timer) told us:

“My roommate and I decided to try it together after months of talking about it. I was worried we’d just talk to each other the whole time, but the opposite happened. Somehow having her there made me more confident talking to everyone else. By the end of the night, we’d each made different connections and had twice as much to discuss on the walk home.”

Quick Note: This Is Different From “Timeleft Repeat”

A small, but important distinction:

Bring a +1: You attend with someone from your existing life (who you already know).

Timeleft Repeat: You request to be seated with someone you previously met AT a Timeleft dinner. (This feature still works exactly as before!)

Your Next Move

Look at your phone right now. Who’s been curious alongside you? The friend who also complains about how hard it is to meet people? The colleague who’s new to the city? The partner who could use some fresh social energy?

Text them with: “Timeleft finally added that feature where we can go together. No more excuses. We’re doing this.”

This isn’t just about dinner. It’s about finally taking that step you’ve been contemplating. It’s about creating a shared adventure that leads to dozens more connections. It’s about discovering how surprisingly easy meaningful connections can be when you just show up.

Bring a +1 is live now for all upcoming dinners.

New to Timeleft? We bring together interesting people over dinner to create genuine connections in an increasingly disconnected world. Our tables have helped thousands discover new friendships, perspectives, and possibilities.
