A drinks night, step by step

Four people laughing around a small round table on an evening out
  1. When you book

    Pick a day

Choose your city, a date and the language you'd like to speak. Booking stays open until 13 hours before.

  2. Before the evening

    We put the group together

We use your quiz answers, age band and language to choose your group, and book the bar. The app shows where to go and a bit about who's coming.

  3. The start

    Meet the group

Drinks groups run a little larger than dinner tables, so there's usually another conversation to join. Order whatever you like, and a soft drink is as welcome as anything else.

  4. Afterwards

    Keep in touch

The group chat stays open, so you can make plans with anyone you got on with.

What members say

Three people smiling together at an evening event
  • I was at a birthday dinner and asked a girl how she met my friend. She said at a Timeleft dinner! I had never heard of the app, but I decided to give it a go. I have been to two dinners so far and plan to go to more…

Questions about drinks nights

Do I have to drink alcohol?
No. Every venue has non-alcoholic options, so order whatever you like. You're there for the conversation.
Who can come to drinks?
Members who are at least the legal drinking age where the event takes place. In the US, that means 21 and over.
How is it different from a dinner?
There's no meal to share and the group is usually a bit bigger, so it suits an evening when you want something lighter. For a longer sit-down evening, try a dinner.
Can I go on my own?
Yes. You book on your own and we put the group together, so you don't need to bring anyone. If you'd like company, you can invite a friend as a +1 from the event page, and their first event is free.
