We put your group together and book the venue, and before the event the app shows you where it is and a little about who's coming. Timeleft is for adults, 18 and over (21 and over in the UAE). Drinks events also follow the local drinking age, which is 21 in the US. You choose an age range when you sign up, and we use it to put your group together.

A short quiz you take when you sign up, about your interests, your social energy, and what you value. We use your answers, with your age range and the language you choose for an event, to decide who sits together. There are no right answers.

Yes, and that's how Timeleft is built. You book on your own and we put the group together, so you won't be the odd one out at a table where almost everyone is meeting for the first time. If you'd rather start with someone you know, you can send a friend a link to sign up and join you.

Yes. Timeleft is a French company. More than 4 million people have joined Timeleft, and members rate each event in the app afterwards. You can read those ratings and what members wrote on our reviews page. Whether it's worth it depends on how often you go, since one membership covers every event you book.

Open the app or app.timeleft.com, pick a format, a date, and a neighborhood, then choose the languages you speak, a budget, and one dietary need. You need an active membership to confirm the booking, and you can hold up to five upcoming bookings at a time.

Up to 13 hours before an event starts, in most cities. After that, you can join the waitlist in case a seat opens.

No. There's no fee for missing an event. If you can't make it, please cancel in the app so someone on the waitlist can take your seat.

From 48 hours before, the app asks you to confirm you'll be there. It takes one tap, and it tells us who's coming.

Yes. From your booking, share a link so a friend who isn't on Timeleft can sign up and join your table. You can also invite your connections, people you've met at past events, to your next booking, and new people fill the other seats. The help center shows how to invite a guest.

Before the event, the app shows you the venue or meeting point, with a map and directions, and a little about your group. The exact timing depends on the format, and your group chat opens 30 minutes before the event starts.

Each city has its own days and times. Your city's page and the app show when events run, and in most cities you can book an event up to 13 hours before it starts.

You meet a small group of people matched to you. Drinks and walks groups can be a little bigger.

Dinners usually run about three hours, and the table decides when the evening ends. The group chat stays open afterwards if you want to carry on.

Yes, at the venue, for what you order. Your membership covers the booking, your group, and the table. You set a budget when you book, from one to three dollar signs, and it guides the restaurant we choose.

Tap I'll be late in the app, from 15 minutes before the start to 15 minutes after, and your group gets a message.

Yes. Choose one dietary need when you book, such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, or kosher, and we do our best to book a restaurant that caters to it. Check the menu once you know the restaurant, and ask the venue directly about an allergy.

Tell us in the feedback after the event, which has a section on the venue, and we use your ratings when we choose venues. If something went clearly wrong, such as a closed venue or no reservation, follow the help center's steps to report a problem with a venue.

After the event you rate it and pick who from your table to keep as connections. You can give the people you met up to five traits, called Impressions, and see the ones they gave you. From there you can chat with any of your connections and invite them to your next booking, and the help center explains how connections and Impressions work.

We use your quiz answers, your interests, your age range, the language you chose for the event, and the date you booked, and balance the table where we can. Who's there also depends on who booked the same day, so every table turns out a little different. Anyone you block or report is never placed in your group again. You can read more about how matching works in the help center.

You choose an age range when you join, 18 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, or 50 and over, and we seat you mostly with people in it. A table can include the range next to yours, depending on who booked the same day and language.

We balance the table where we can, and the final group depends on who books that day. If you'd rather be at a table of women, book a women-only dinner where your city has them.

No. Nobody swipes, nobody gets paired off, and there's no private messaging before you meet. Some people do meet someone they like. If that's what you're after, many cities run singles dinners, where everyone at the table is single and the group is balanced by age and gender.

The local language or English. You choose the languages you speak when you book, and we seat you at a table in one of them. Pick a language you're happy to hold a whole conversation in.

Yes. Choose who to stay connected with after the event and message them in the app. You can invite your connections to your next booking, and new people fill the other seats. Otherwise, groups change from event to event.

Signing up, taking the quiz, and browsing events are free. Booking an event needs a membership, and food and drinks at the venue are paid separately.

It depends on your country and the plan you pick, and longer plans cost less per month. The app shows your price before you pay, and one membership covers as many events as you book.

Plans vary by country and device, and checkout lists the ones open to you. If you're on a plan we no longer offer, you keep it until it ends.

Yes. Plans renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do any time before your renewal date. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a membership.

If you paid through Timeleft, go to Profile, then Manage your membership, and cancel there. If you subscribed through the App Store, cancel in your Apple Account's subscription settings, and if you subscribed through Google Play, cancel in the Google Play app under Payments and subscriptions, because the Timeleft app can't cancel those. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and the help center has a step-by-step guide.

By card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or SEPA direct debit, depending on your country and device. You can change your card and download invoices in the app, under Manage your membership.

If you have a code from a partner or a creator, enter it at checkout or in the app under Manage your membership, before you pay. We don't publish codes on coupon sites, so a code found there may not work.

Over 99% of Timeleft experiences happen without any safety incident. Events take place at public venues, or at a meeting point we choose for walks. You meet a small group, with no swiping, no private contact before you meet, and no one-on-one blind dates. Messages are checked automatically, with the safety team reviewing anything flagged, and if you report someone, you are never placed with them again. Our safety guidelines go into more detail.

From a person's profile or from a message in the app, choose Report or Block. Reports are anonymous, and anyone you report or block is never placed in your group again. The help center explains how to report a safety incident. In an emergency, call the local emergency services first.

No. Nobody exchanges contact details before the event, and you never have to share them at the table. You can keep talking to the people you met through the app's chat, and share more only if you want to.

The community guidelines set out what we expect at every event and in the app, and what happens when someone breaks them. Every report is reviewed, and every ban can be appealed within 30 days.

Dinners run in every Timeleft city, and coffee, drinks, walks, women-only dinners, and singles dinners vary by city. Your city's page shows what runs near you, and you can find it on our locations page.

Coffee with a small group at a café we've booked, usually on weekends. It runs in the cities on our coffee page, and it's a lighter way to start if evenings are hard to fit in.

Yes. Timeleft events are open to people of any orientation, and the community guidelines don't allow discrimination. LGBTQ+ friendly dinners, open to everyone, run in Paris and New York, and women-only dinners welcome members who identify as women.

Yes. Timeleft runs on iPhone and iPad, Android, and in a browser at app.timeleft.com. You can book, chat, and manage your membership on all three, and see what's new in the app on our changelog.

Sign in the same way you signed up, whether that was Apple, Google, or email. Using a different method often creates a second, empty account. If you used Apple's Hide My Email, use Continue with Apple. If you still can't get in, check the help center's login guide or contact support with your email and sign-in method.

Go to Profile, then Login and Security, and tap Delete my account. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a membership bought through the App Store or Google Play, so cancel that first in your Apple Account's subscription settings or in the Google Play app. The help center has more on deleting your account.
