  • I was at a birthday dinner and asked a girl how she met my friend. She said at a Timeleft dinner! I had never heard of the app, but I decided to give it a go. I have been to two dinners so far and plan to go to more…

Questions about making friends in Seoul

How can I make friends in Seoul?
Timeleft matches you with a small group of people for dinner or drinks in Seoul, based on your interests, personality and language. You sign up on your own, we choose the venue and the group, and before the event, the app tells you where to go.
When are Timeleft events in Seoul?
Timeleft runs dinners on Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:00 pm and drinks on Thursday 5 November at 7:00 pm. There's also a women-only dinner on Monday 9 November at 7:00 pm. Bookings close 13 hours before each event starts, or at midnight the night before if that would fall between midnight and 8:00 am.
Where in Seoul do they happen?
At restaurants and bars across Seoul. The app shows the exact venue before the event.
How much does a Timeleft dinner cost in Seoul?
To book, you need a Timeleft subscription. Food and drinks are paid separately at the venue. Subscription prices depend on the plan you pick, and the app shows them before you pay. There’s no fee for missing an event, but please cancel if you can’t make it so someone else can take your seat.
Can I go on my own?
Yes. You book on your own and we put the group together, so you don't need to bring anyone. Every event is at a public venue we've vetted, and our safety guidelines cover the rest. The guide to your first dinner walks through it step by step.
Is Timeleft in Seoul for people in their 20s, 30s, or 40s?
Yes. Timeleft is for adults of every age. When we put a group together, we look at age along with your personality quiz and booking preferences. Who you meet still depends on who books the same event.
Is Timeleft a dating app?
No. There are no profiles to swipe through, and nobody gets paired off. You meet a small group of people at once, in person.
How is Timeleft different from Meetup?
Meetup lists groups and events run by their own organizers, and you choose which to join. With Timeleft, you pick a format and a day, and we match you with a small group and choose the venue. Our Timeleft vs Meetup comparison goes into more detail.
What if I'm vegetarian or vegan, or have an allergy?
Pick a dietary preference in the app when you book, and we'll do our best to seat you at a venue that caters to it. Most restaurants we use in Seoul have vegetarian dishes. For allergies, check with the venue on the day.
